Super Lawyers Selects 9 UWWM Mediators

The 2023 Florida Super Lawyers Magazine published today, June 27, and included eight Upchurch Watson White & Max mediators among its attorneys with the primary practice area of Alternative Dispute Resolution. All were repeat honorees, with Gainesville-based John D. Jopling on the list for the 17th time.

This year's MidSouth edition of Super Lawyers listed two Birmingham-based UWWM mediators, George M. "Marty" Van Tassel, Jr., who was being recognized for the 16th time, and Rodney A. Max, who was named for the 12th time in the MidSouth edition and the 14th time in Florida Super Lawyers. Mr. Max is based in Miami but began his career as a neutral in Alabama and frequently works there.

Others selected for the 2023 Florida edition are:

“Our patented attorney selection process is peer influenced and research driven, selecting the top 5 percent of attorneys to the Super Lawyers list each year,” according to superlawyers.com. This year’s selections represent about 16 percent of UWWM’s panel. For Florida, where there are 5,888 State Supreme Court-certified mediators, UWWM panel members represent 20 percent of the 40 selected by Super Lawyers.
