About

John B. Marion, IV grew up in West Palm Beach, and, after attending law school at Nova University, began his practice with Jones & Foster, now Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs, where he defended and litigated personal injury and wrongful death claims on behalf of insurance companies, manufacturers, institutional clients, public utilities and railroads. By 1987 he became a shareholder, and in 1988 he and others had an amicable parting of ways with the firm to found Sellars, Marion & Bachi, P.A.

John handled a wide variety of civil litigation matters over his 37-year career. In addition to defending clients in personal injury and wrongful death actions, he also represented injured parties and devoted significant time to litigating their cases as well as other matters more contractual and commercial in nature. He focused his practice on litigating all forms of serious personal injury, brain injury and wrongful death claims, including those involving premises liability, premises security, automobile accidents, trucking accidents, tractor-trailer under-rides and product liability, as well as legal malpractice, construction defect and all types of insurance-related matters including bad faith and coverage disputes.

Now, as a dispute resolution professional, John continues to mentor and provide leadership to youth and young adults. To that end, he is a former president (2006- 2011) and current board member of the Gulf Stream Council, Boy Scouts of America (BSA), as well as the chairman of the Housing Corporation and President of the Board of Trustees for the Alpha Omega Chapter of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity at the University of Florida (2007-present). He is also a member of the National Board of Directors of the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity (since 2018).
