ORMOND BEACH, Fla. (July 11, 2025) — Upchurch Watson White & Max is pleased to share that mediator and arbitrator F. Bradley “Brad” Hassell was recently appointed vice chair of The Florida Bar Aviation Law Board Certification Committee. The Committee oversees the certification of Florida attorneys practicing aviation law — a specialty in which Florida is recognized as a national leader.

Under the Bar’s certification rules, the committee recommends the issuance, renewal, or denial of board certifications; reviews applications; establishes testing procedures; prepares, administers, and grades examinations; and develops policies, subject to the approval of The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization & Education (BLSE).

Brad’s appointment reflects his deep experience in both aviation and civil litigation. He is one of only four attorneys in Florida board certified in both aviation law and civil trial law, underscoring his exceptional qualifications to serve on the committee.
