Mediator Richard B. Lord, a shareholder with Upchurch Watson White & Max, has accepted a nomination to become a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Mr. Lord has been with the mediation group since 1999, and he mediates and arbitrates cases nationwide. The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation is an honorary organization of lawyers, judges, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have demonstrated outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession.

Cata, mediation counsel with Upchurch Watson White & Max Mediation Group, will join three other panelists to discuss "Hot Topics in International Arbitration" for the International Litigation, Arbitration & (Business) Transactions Conference, presented by The Florida Bar International Law Section on Friday, Feb. 27, at the Conrad Hotel. In the upcoming panel discussion, presenters will speak on international commercial mediation, including legislation aimed at promoting international mediation agreements and the proposed UNCITRAL Convention on Enforcement of Mediated Settlements, plus other topics of interest.
