You probably know that Mediation Week is always in October, but all of the upcoming events for dispute resolution professionals couldn't fit in a single month, let alone a week. UWWM Shareholder Richard Lord recently wrote an article about all of the season's learning opportunities offered by the ABA Section of Dispute Resolution.
For example, the fourth annual Ombuds Day is set for Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021. "Ombuds, also known as ombudspersons ... or ombudsmen, are conflict management professionals in a variety of settings, including universities, private industry, government, and health care," Richard wrote. He goes on to explain the theme for this year's Mediation Week, Oct. 22 to 22, 2021.
Next month, look for the Mediation & Advocacy Skills Institute, Nov. 4 to 6, 2021, with the theme “Mediation Beyond Boundaries: Competencies and Ethics in a Digital World.”
