Mediator and Forum Founding Organizer Lance A. Harke to Emcee Panel

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — Upchurch Watson White & Max is pleased to support the University of Miami School of Law’s 10th Annual Class Action & Complex Litigation Forum as a Bronze Sponsor. The program returns on January 30, 2026, bringing together leading judges, practitioners and scholars for one of the nation’s premier discussions on class action and multidistrict litigation.

UWWM mediator/arbitrator Lance A. Harke will emcee the session “Managing the Class Action Approval Process.” His role in the program reflects not only his dispute resolution experience, but also his long-standing leadership with the Forum itself. As one of the founders of the Miami Class Action Forum, Lance has played a key role in developing and shaping the event since its inception.

Panelists for the session include:

  • The Hon. R. David Proctor, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Alabama
  • Brian T. Fitzpatrick, Underwood Chair in Free Enterprise, Vanderbilt University Law School
  • Adam M. Moskowitz, Managing Partner, The Moskowitz Law Firm
  • The Hon. Roy Altman, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida (Moderator)

Now in its tenth year, the Forum continues to provide crucial insights into complex litigation, with programming spanning antitrust trends, AI-driven claims, MDL practice, consumer protection, and class action trials. The full-day conference will be held at the University of Miami’s Shalala Student Center in Coral Gables from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Registration is open to the public at https://www.law.miami.edu/events/cle/mcaf, with reduced pricing for public-service attorneys and complimentary admission for judges, law clerks, and Miami Law faculty and students. Continuing Legal Education credit is pending in numerous jurisdictions.
