Florida mediator Bob Cole witnesses history in the making

Florida mediator and UWWM shareholder Bob Cole, second from left, made the trek from his Jacksonville base to Tallahassee last night for the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society annual dinner. Here he is with Julian Proctor Tall, left, Justice Rosemary Barkett and Sid Matthew Tall.

Judge Rosemary Barkett recently received the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award, and Florida mediator Bob Cole, a shareholder of Upchurch Watson White & Max, was in Tallahassee to see it happen. The honoree had served as a United States Circuit Judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Prior to her 1983 nomination for that post, she was Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court, where she was the first woman ever to serve.
