Florida Mediator Sandy Upchurch Launches Run for Circuit Judge

Sandy Upchurch, who has been with the respected Florida- and Alabama-based mediation group Upchurch Watson White & Max for five years, began her campaign to become Circuit Court Judge for the 7th Judicial Circuit – Group 24 – when she officially filed her papers with the Florida Division of Elections in January. The Circuit serves Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns and Volusia counties.

Florida mediator Bob Cole witnesses history in the making

Judge Rosemary Barkett recently received the Florida Supreme Court Historical Society 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award, and Florida mediator Bob Cole, a shareholder of Upchurch Watson White & Max, was in Tallahassee to see it happen. The honoree had served as a United States Circuit Judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Prior to her 1983 nomination for that post, she was Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court, where she was the first woman ever to serve.
