Adele Blackmore is an attorney and Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator with a passion for helping parties resolve disputes efficiently and thoughtfully. She believes alternative dispute resolution (ADR) offers a practical, definitive path forward – avoiding the uncertainty of jury trials while fostering collaboration and clarity.
With decades of courtroom and jury trial experience and a reputation for exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership, Adele brings a balanced perspective to every mediation. She has participated in hundreds of mediations, arbitrations, and global settlement conferences across a broad spectrum of civil matters, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, negligent security, insurance disputes, commercial litigation, and institutional sexual assault cases. Her approach combines meticulous preparation, comprehensive risk analysis, and respect for all participants.
Board Certified in Civil Trial Law since 1991, Adele has represented both plaintiffs and defendants throughout her career. Before joining Upchurch Watson White & Max, she served as a senior trial attorney at State Farm Insurance for 14 years and previously managed her own firm, Blackmore & Blackmore, handling personal injury, commercial litigation, and insurance-related matters. Earlier, she represented major insurers such as GEICO and The Hartford.
Adele is a past president of the Fort Lauderdale chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Philosophy: “I believe every person deserves to feel heard and respected during the mediation process. My goal is to create a space where parties can communicate openly, understand their options, and work toward solutions that bring peace of mind and closure.”
Ready to move forward? Adele welcomes the opportunity to help you find common ground and achieve a resolution that works for everyone.
