About

“After decades in the courtroom, I know the risks, uncertainty, and cost of litigation. As a neutral mediator and arbitrator, I use that trial experience to help parties reach fair, informed resolutions by choice, before a verdict is decided for them. I help parties take control of their outcomes so they can resolve disputes with confidence and finality. As a neutral, I can focus on what matters most: helping parties find resolution with clarity, respect, and compassion.”

Before becoming a mediator and arbitrator, Sheri Critelli practiced law for 34 years as a seasoned civil trial attorney representing individuals, both plaintiffs and defendants, corporations, and insurance companies. Her practice focused on a wide range of complex cases, including personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability, negligent security, commercial litigation, legal and medical malpractice, sexual assault and battery, substance abuse and mental health treatment facilities, 1st and 3rd party property damage claims, and insurance disputes.

Throughout her career, Sheri litigated thousands of cases in State and Federal courts across Florida and participated in approximately 100 jury trials. With a BA degree in Psychology, combined with her extensive trial and litigation experience and life perspective, Sheri possesses a unique ability to relate to and empathize with litigants while maintaining objectivity. She is known for her passion, impartiality, attention to detail, deep knowledge of the law, and strong trial and negotiation skills.

Sheri states, “I am excited to leverage my litigation background and innovative dispute resolution strategies as a mediator and arbitrator. My experience in handling complex cases has honed my skills in navigating intricate disputes with a focus on empathy, clear communication, and a collaborative approach. I am committed to fostering an environment of trust and constructive dialogue, ensuring that all parties feel heard and respected throughout the resolution process.” This insight, coupled with Sheri’s 34 years of litigation experience, allows parties to reach successful results during her mediations and arbitrations.

Sheri is committed to helping parties resolve disputes with the same dedication and integrity that has defined her legal career. She is available to serve as a neutral mediator or arbitrator in person or via Zoom on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Sheri has lived in Broward County since 1979. She became a trial attorney at age 23 and was one of the youngest junior partners at Adorno & Zeder, P.A., at age 32. Before joining UWWM as a full-time neutral Mediator (Federal and State) and Qualified Arbitrator, Sheri served as the senior trial attorney at her previous law firm for 23 years.
