Members of Upchurch Watson White & Max's Center for National Class and Mass Actions and nationally recognized class action attorneys Francis A. Citera of GreenbergTraurig and Adam Moskowitz of The Moskowitz Law Firm explain why it's almost never too early -- or a waste of time -- to mediate a class action. UWWM's Terry White and Lance Harke explore the problems of not bringing in and/or negotiating with all interested parties and not knowing the true costs of a proposed settlement. And they show why it's a good idea to remember the key elements of settlement during every part of the mediation, to engage the mediator afterward to resolve post-mediation issues and to realize that mutuality is the key to successful resolution.

Lance A. Harke: Mediator/Arbitrator Lance Harke has concentrated his practice in the areas of multi-state consumer class action litigation, insurance litigation, employment matters, professional malpractice, products liability defense, and general and complex commercial litigation. Terrence M. White: A founding partner of UWWM, Terry White has conducted well over 4,000 mediated conferences throughout Florida. He participated by invitation in The Harvard University Initial Advanced Negotiation Techniques Program with 30 negotiators from around the world, and was requested to lecture at the U.S. 11th Circuit Court Judges Conference as well as the Georgia Superior Court Judges Conference. He is often invited to lecture at plaintiff and defense legal conferences.
Francis A. “Frank” Citera is a nationally-recognized trial lawyer representing clients in product liability, toxic torts, class actions and other complex litigation matters in federal and state courts. Frank has over 35 years of experience and is co-chair of GreenbergTraurig’s Product Liability and Mass Torts Litigation Practice and co-chairs the Chicago Litigation Practice.
Adam M. Moskowitz is the Founding and Managing Partner at The Moskowitz Law Firm. A national authority on class action litigation, Adam has served as lead and co-lead counsel in many of the largest class action cases in recent history. He leads his firm's participation in multi-state class action cases that involve teams of law firms from around the nation.
