About

Reginald D. Hicks is an experienced civil mediator and arbitrator. Until making the transition to become a full-time neutral, he had been advocating for both individual and corporate clients throughout Florida as an attorney and counselor-of-law since 1987, primarily litigating civil cases before juries and judges.

Reggie is a native Floridian who grew up in Broward County and earned both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration — with an emphasis in marketing — and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Florida. He was a commissioned officer in the United States Navy, serving honorably until 2002.

He is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the U.S. Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.

Reggie also has been active in various professional organizations.  He is a past chair and current emeritus member of the Florida Board of Bar Examiners, and has served as president of both the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association and the F. Malcolm Cunningham Bar Association, as well as being an active member of the National Bar Association and the Virgil Hawkins Affiliate Chapter.

He is a life member of the NAACP and AMVETS and has served as General Counsel to several churches and community organizations.  He is a graduate of Leadership Florida, Leadership Orlando, and a member of Florida Blue Key.
