About

Charlie Greene retired as a Circuit Judge after more than 32 years on the bench. Most recently, he served as the Administrative Judge of the probate and guardianship division for Florida’s 17th Judicial Circuit. Before that, he was assigned to the complex civil litigation division and presided over lengthy and complex trials.

He also served in the criminal division (presiding over more than 30 first-degree murder trials), the family division and the civil division and was the Administrative Judge of the criminal division, overseeing the trial, domestic violence, career criminal and drug court divisions and presiding over felony trials. As a Circuit Judge, he has presided over more than 1,000 jury trials and tens of thousands of hearings and non-jury trials. He also was an Associate Judge for the 4th District Court of Appeals. Previously, as an attorney, he litigated over 100 jury trials to completion.  

After graduating from Nova Southeastern University’s law school, Charlie served in the State Attorney’s office for the 17th and 20th circuits, spending almost six years as a prosecutor. He then went into private general practice, specializing in criminal and family law. He was also the legal advisor to the Boca Raton Police Department when he was elected Judge in 1990.

He is a commercial-rated pilot and a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, serving as an aircraft commander. He also volunteers as a pilot with numerous organizations to transport organ-transplant patients and fulfill other medical needs and for compassion flights.
