Alan Lasseter has represented the interests of individuals, businesses and insurers in litigation throughout Alabama for more than 27 years. As a trial attorney he has handled more than 1,500 cases representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Alan has tried more than 60 jury trials to verdict across Alabama in a wide variety of cases including personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, trucking accidents, police liability and product liability.
Alan began mediating cases almost by accident when lawyers contacted him and asked him to serve as mediator in a case after their earlier settlement negotiations reached an impasse. The lawyers told Alan they believed his long background representing the interests of parties on both sides of civil litigation would benefit them and their clients in resolving their case prior to trial. Alan agreed to help and the case was resolved at mediation.
This experience led to the organic beginning and growth of Alan’s mediation practice and led him to the opportunity to join Upchurch Watson White & Max in June 2020. As Alan makes the transition to working full-time as a mediator, he looks forward to using his experience to help lawyers, their clients and decision-makers successfully resolve their cases at mediation.
